K1 turns 7...10/28

It seems like just yesterday that Jack and I were finding out that I was pregnant with our first baby. In the blink of an eye I can remember laying on the operating room table scared to death and praying that God would watch over me and the sweet baby that was about to come forth into this world and make us parents for the first time ever.

Then there she was in all her glory screaming her little heart out. It was one of the best sounds I have ever heard in my life. Immediately we both cried together and thanked God for our precious little baby.
Our oldest daughter K1 was born on October 28, 2004 @ 8:30am. 7lbs 4 ozs.
She was beautiful and perfect in every way!

Daddy carrying K1 out of the OR.

Now here she is turning 7. I can hardly believe that she is already this old. I still catch myself telling people she is 6 because 7 just seems so much older to me.

None the less we are blessed to have our sweet little Kbug in our lives.

K1 with her "special" cake that she picked out!

Look at that sweet face!

Caught off guard eating her cake! :)

Our 3 plus 2 cousins who came to celebrate with us!
Let's try one more picture to see if we can get everyone to look....

Well 4 out of 5 are looking this way! That works for me! :)

Say CHEESE!!! Please!?!?! {Christmas 2010}

So every Christmas I get this wild hair to take some picture of my kids for a Christmas card. Every year I seem to have another child which makes this task not only much harder but I feel like it makes me even crazier. This year I tried to take some pictures of the kids on two different occasions and well I'll let you see for yourself what it's like to be the mom of these youngins. :)

Let the FUN begin....

Bubba has decided that he does not want to sit up. This will be a long photo shoot! I can already tell. :)

K2 please don't choke K1. That's WAY too tight to hug her neck.
Really K3 you bend over right in the shot. lol.

Alright let's try this again! Bubba sit up and look at me! Girls look at mama and say: CHEESE!!

K2 let's not make your mean smiley face! HA!! (She is still bad about making this face!)

Apparently K1 accidently bumped K2's head. This resulted in one laughing and one crying. I'll let you figure out which one is doing what!

Bubba  running through the "woods" as the girls called it. I love the lighting in this picture and I love my little man.

Here is our sweet little boy who refuses to look at the camera! He's still pretty cute even if he wont look my way! ;-)

First day of Pre-K...

K2 started preschool this year. September 6th to be exact. She was not so excited at first when we told her that she would be going to school this year but once she found out her "church friends" (as she calls them) would be coming she quickly sorta accepted the idea. We did have many nights of talking and praying about school but once school got near she was ready to go.

I thought for sure that Day #1 would be by far the hardest day for her and I but to my surprise I was wrong.
Very wrong....

Look at that sweet face. K2 posing for pictures outside of school. :)

Of coarse K1 and K3 had to get in the picture too. Even though I can't quite figure out the look on my youngest ones face. Who knows?! He makes some crazy face!
And please notice that we are alowing the kids to dress themselves now. I think they did a pretty great job myself.

As we walked to her classroom she held my hand very tightly and wanted to make sure I would be picking her up VERY soon. I told her yes that in a few hours I would be back. We went in and she sat down at her table. Gave out her hugs and kisses to the whole family and waved us good-bye!

I was shocked!! My baby girl is not in tears?! Not begging and pleading for me to take her home?! Nope! Not even once! I was very proud of my big girl.

Now Day #2 until about a few days ago...That is a whole another story. Tears, holding on to me for dear life and begging me to take her home. Why? Just because she misses us and wants to be home with us. Now ain't that just sweet! Yes, it is. Unless you're the one trying to unglue her from your leg.

Thankfully these past few days have been much better. Actually this past week has been great. She loves school and her friends...She just misses us and to be honest that ain't so bad!

Homeschooling ain't so bad...

(This is a post that I never posted from some reason so here it is months later)

The kids and I bought some butterfly larvae off the internet about 2 weeks ago and we have been learning all about these beautiful creatures and their lifecycles. The are pretty amazing if I might say so myself.

Anyways, today we went over to G-ville to the Butterfly musuem with another homeschooling family and had a fun day and learning. You can't beat that!!

My little scientist Roo.

Learning is FUN...even at 22 months old.

Probably up to no good...but look at that CUTE face!! "Be careful I bite" says his shirt but it's the TRUTH!! :)

Some of our favorite butterflies at the museum were...

Talk about beautiful!! God makes some pretty amazing things. :)

A day at the Park...

The kids and I went to the GC springs park for a day of schoolwork and play. I decided to change up our homeschool routine a bit and let K1 get outdoors to do her work. She really enjoyed playing and working and the youngest two seemed to have a blast as well. I love these kids! They are truly a blessing!!

This is one of the MANY reasons I like to homeschool...We work on our own schedule. ;)

K2 and Baby K running around screaming!

My sweet baby girl. Twirling around the pole.

My oldest baby. Taking a break from school work to smile at her mama.

My babies chillin' in the sun. It's moments like this that truly
take my breathe away. :)

Homeschooling at it's best!! :)

This is my life...

And I have come to except it...well sorta.

Kam spraying water...

The kids and I packed up and decided to go to the park today. As we headed out the door we got some water cups and Kam a sippy cup FULL of water. I heard him in his seat laughing and playing but when I looked back I didn't see him doing much...other than laughing.

Next thing I know I see something out the corner of my eye and it's him blowing water EVERYWHERE!!! Like all over the door, the part of the window that wasn't rolled down, all over him, all over his car seat. I said: Bubba, what are you doing? He just started giggling. You know one of those belly laughs. It was AWESOME! He was SOAKED!

I laughed until I cried and thank God I was able to catch this priceless moment!

These kids are just the best thing EVER!

I have come to accept that this IS MY LIFE! I LOVE IT!

1st hair cut...

Baby K got his first hair cut and basically what I am saying is that the rat tail is no more. ;)

I cut the girls hair (K1 4 inches and K2 2 1/2 inches) a few days prior and on this particular day I decided I was going to even up K2's hair (let's face it I am not beautician and one area was a little off). Once I cut her hair my little man came running up and said: Cut hair mama! He got right up on the stool and sat down. Of coarse I tried to call my hubby and make sure it was ok but he didn't answer so he got a slight surprise when he got home. :)

I'm keeping things interesting!! lol

A view from the front...Before

A baby rat tail ?!? That's what we called it. :)

Afterwards. SO CUTE!!

I wasn't able to get a picture of the "final" product because he said: No cut mama! Got down and REFUSED to let me cut anymore. Thankfully once I put him in the bath I was able to quickly get a few snips in and her it all trimmed. :)

They said what?

Of all the wacky or off the wall things my kids have said in their short lifetimes I probably could have made a book and be a bazillionarie by now. They seriously trip me out and I am here to share some of those "comments" with you tonight.

My kids say the craziest, darnedest, funniest and most off the wall things. It never ceases to amaze my what they come up with. Just to share a few moments of my life with you...

(K3 on his birthday kissing his mama. One of my favorite pictures of us.)

We were on the way to the farmers market listening to the song: A little more country than that by Easton Corbin.

"Cause I'm not the kind of two time or play games behind your back cause I'm a little more country than that."

"But this ring ain't something I mean to give you and then take back I'm a little more country than that."

I said: You girls need to marry a man like that.

K1 immediately pipes up and says: Mama, did you marry a country man?

Me: I don't really think of your dad as a "country man", why?

K1: Cause when I grow up I wanna marry a country man!

I guess because her dad was raised in the "woods" as we city folks like to call it she thinks her dad is a country man and I guess he is but it was just so funny when she said it.

At 6 the girl knows what she wants. :)

On our way to the farmers market we got "lost" if you want to call it that. It was not at the address listed but it was just right down the road and we got turned around...there was TONS of people. Anyways, K1 (again) says: "Mama, don't you know how to drive this thing. Don't you hear that thing talking to you."

She was referring to the GPS. I couldn't stop laughing after that one. She has such a personality on her.

We get home after a busy day and K3 (21 months) who is trying (all by himself) to potty train says: "Pee, mama!" I said: "Come on let's get your diaper off and go get on the potty."

I walk into the bathroom to find him trying to pee into the toilet even though he is about a inch to short (on his tip toes) to reach the inside of the toilet. I said: "No, bubby."

He turns to me still peeing.

It was everywhere but again I couldn't help but laugh. These kids make life better...End.Of.Story!

I thank God for them and how he has BLESSED me!

Love today...

Today was one of those days that was so close to being perfect. The kids were well behaved (for the most part) and it was just a gorgeous Saturday. Life is GOOD!

The kids and I decided to head to the farmers market in Neptune beach cause I heard that was a good place to go so we went. We got some range free organic eggs, shea butter, African black soap, lip condition (like chapstick) and a handmade bag. Over all I like all the stuff we got and the kids had fun! (which obviously is the most important part) :)

On the way out of town we rolled the windows down and sang our little hearts out. Had lunch and just enjoyed the day.
K3 laughing with the wind blowing in his hair. I LOVE this picture of him!

Afer the market we went over to the park next door and played. The kids and I had a blast just hanging out and obviously we had fun shopping for yummy food.
K2 and K3 playing on the tire swings!
I just LOVE days like today!
*Yes, I know the picture quality is not the greatest but these were taken with my cellphone. :)
